St Pats has a proud history in Hockey through the Mackay School Hockey Association.

We compete in the U16 Schools Competition each year with students from Year 7-11 (pending age approval from MSHA). These teams are open to all students, with the idea that anyone wanting to play Hockey for the school can, regardless of experience or ability.

All games take place at the Mackay Hockey Fields on Saturday mornings. Some of our hockey stars also play in the local club teams, J-League, and representative teams for Mackay, QLD and Australia. A notable alumnus of St Pat's Hockey is Claire Colwill, who recently made her Olympic debut with the Hockeyroos at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!
